Goldman Sachs is hiring a People Analytics Analyst within its Firmwide Compensation unit in Bangalore. In this role, you will process, validate, and audit complex global workforce datasets to back data-informed talent architectures and executive compensation tracks. Working alongside senior data architects and workforce strategists, you will translate multi-tiered HR metrics into structured visual narratives for high-level corporate stakeholders—including Regional HCM Heads, Chiefs of Staff, and the Executive Office. The function spans the entire employee lifecycle, requiring you to execute headcount projections, coordinate cross-functional capacity strategy with the Corporate Real Estate desk, and manage daily data health across executive reporting dashboards.
Key Technologies:
Advanced Excel, SQL, HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Platforms, Data Visualization Suites (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative technical discipline (such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field).
- 1–3 years of professional experience operating inside an analytical framework (such as corporate data analysis, quantitative finance, strategic consulting, or core HR/People Analytics).
- Expert command over advanced Microsoft Excel configurations—including engineering nested logical formulas, optimizing pivot tables, cleaning unstructured text, and building macro-driven reporting templates.
- Working proficiency utilizing basic SQL or specialized data querying utilities to extract data layers, join relational workforce tables, and aggregate metrics across distributed storage nodes.
- Practical baseline capability tracking data footprints across all employee touchpoints—spanning recruitment filters, onboarding volumes, annual performance reviews, promotion velocity, salary bands, and exit analytics.
- Proven ability to run source-versus-dashboard data reconciliations, parse large datasets, detect system anomalies, and maintain the daily upkeep of interactive analytical dashboards.
- Experience or training in tracking real-time headcount data, modeling staffing projections, and mapping metrics to support corporate budgeting, resource allocation, and location footprint strategies.
- A clear professional interest in or foundational exposure to compensation and reward analytics, executive payroll modeling, or regulatory financial/governance disclosures.
- Sharp analytical mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to clearly explain complex data findings and pitch visual decks to senior executive stakeholders.
